Heat network and heating distribution unit

The heating network with its connected heating distribution units acts as the link between the heat generators and the heat consumers. The design of the network and the manifolds used has a significant influence on the energy efficiency of the entire system.

Variable speed pumps are used to generate the differential pressure required for a variable volumetric flow rate.

The greater the difference between the flow temperature to the consumers and the return temperature from the consumers, the smaller the volumetric flow rate in the network can be for the same transferred heat output, thereby reducing the electrical drive energy.
