Heat cylinder
The correct design and operating concept of the heat cylinder play a decisive role in the economical and ecological operation of heating systems and local and district heating grids. The heat cylinder capacity is determined by the usable content and the usable temperature difference.
The seasonal variations in the requirements of heat consumers and the different costs of heat generation must be taken into account.
The cylinder also plays a particularly important role in the system integration of various heat generators such as hot water and heating boilers, CHP systems, heat pumps, solar heat, biomass boilers, power-to-heat systems and waste heat utilisation.
The cylinder can also be used as a low loss header, i.e. for the hydraulic separation of generator and consumer circuits.
